Nominations have been opened for the annual 2024 Women in Housing Leadership Awards (WIH), to be presented during the Five Star 2024 Conference and Expo, set for September 24-26 at the Omni Hotel in Dallas.
Five awards will be handed out to the industry’s most distinguished women leaders, including the Rising Star Executive Award, The Diverse Ownership Award, Keys in Hand Award, Corporate Social Responsibility Award, and Laurie A. Maggiano Legacy Award.
The Women in Housing Leadership Awards Luncheon will take place Wednesday, September 26 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Omni Hotel in Dallas. This 13th annual event will recognize the achievements of businesswomen whose contributions will continue to impact the housing and mortgage servicing industry for years to come. The program includes the “Inside the She-Suite” discussion, featuring the industry’s top-ranking female executives addressing their challenges, and sharing inspirational successes they have encountered throughout their careers.
Honoring the industry’s top women
- Rising Star Executive Award: This award recognizes young women leaders who, while still early in their careers, have demonstrated an outstanding capability to lead and drive progress. (Candidates must have up to 10 years’ industry experience.)
- Diverse Ownership Award: This new award recognizes companies that are owned or led by diverse executives, and how they work to empower and promote women in leadership positions.
- Keys in Hand Award: This new award spotlights industry executives who are working to expand homeownership in America, especially for first-time homeowners, providing a critical source of intergenerational wealth.
- Corporate Social Responsibility Award: How is your organization giving back to the communities it serves? This award recognizes executives who are driving charitable initiatives and helping the industry make a positive difference.
- Laurie A. Maggiano Legacy Award: This award recognizes women whose accomplishments have left an indelible impact on the industry and have positively influenced homeownership within the past year. (Candidates for this award must have a minimum of 20 years’ consecutive industry experience).
The Awards will be presented in person at the Women in Housing Leadership Awards Luncheon, set to be held during the Five Star 2024 Conference and Expo in Dallas.
Nomination guidelines
- Individuals can be nominated in a maximum of two categories.
- All required fields must be completed in order to submit your nomination.
- Nominations must be submitted by a colleague or business associates, and self-nominations are not accepted.
- Only one nomination per individual will be taken into account during the selection process. Multiple nominations will not increase a nominee’s chance of being selected.
- Nominees must be currently employed by an organization that directly serves the housing and/or mortgage industry.
- Nominees must meet the minimum experience requirement specific to the selected award(s). Years of industry service must be consecutive.
- Nominees must be present at the Women in Housing Awards Leadership Awards Banquet in Dallas this September in order to receive an award. If the nominee cannot attend, they may appoint a proxy to accept it on their behalf should they be the recipient in their category.
