Event organizers have planned a full agenda of events, featuring informative breakout sessions and interactive roundtable discussions, along with the chance to interact first-hand with the top movers and shakers in the industry, as well as officials from top government agencies.
Things kick off with Legal League Advisory Council Chair Stephen Hladik, and Five Star’s Executive Director of Memberships Gina Gallutia sharing an overview of the day during their Welcome Remarks.
Immediately following, will be the first General Session of the day, “Market Outlook: Birds-Eye View to Boots-on-the-Ground,” featuring panelists David Demers of Cooke Demers LLC, Rita Falcioni of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Melissa Black of PennyMac Loan Services LLC, Alicia Byrd from Flagstar Bank, Ingrid Jaschok of Cenlar, and Nolan Turner from Carrington Holding Company LLC. Keynote address
Five Star is proud to present James P. Novak, Director of the Business Law and Compliance Group at Allstate, as the Spring Servicer Summit’s Keynote Speaker. Responsible for all legal aspects of the lender services business, Novak previously served as SVP and General Counsel at QBE Financial Insurance and former VP and General Counsel at National Interstate Corporation. He has served as a principal regulatory liaison with state and federal regulators, agencies, and legislators in addition to assisting in the design and roll-out of new businesses, including real estate tax services, homeowner and consumer-affiliated agencies, mergers and acquisitions; and asset purchase and sale transactions. Novak has been a mentor in mentoring programs and is a frequent speaker in leadership development programs.
With demographic shifts, changes in the housing market, economy, climate and migration-residential homeowner insurance has been a constant adapting and evolving to maintain the protections necessary to safeguard and protect owners and investors alike. In his Keynote, Novak will share his expertise on insurance, discussing the industry’s current challenges, and looks ahead on the impact lender/servicing business operations may face.
